Vintage oak 'Sawbuck' lounge chair with new cognac leather upholstery designed in 1954 by Hans Wegner and produced by Carl Hansen - Model CH28.
The Sawbuck chair, gains its name due to its resemblance to the A-frame of a traditional carpenter’s sawhorse. The chair combines sculptural elegance with exceptional comfort, reflecting Wegner’s genius for reinterpreting functional forms into timeless modern furniture.
This chair features solid oak construction, with a gently curved backrest offering a superbly comfortable seat with slender and elegant design.
The Cognac leather upholstery is new, chosen to perfectly compliment the rich tones of the vintage oak frame. During the reupholstery process, the frame has been fully restored with new foam added to the seat and back for long-lasting comfort.
The armchair features the Carl Hansen & Son makers mark to the base of the seat.
The model CH28 armchair is still produced today, exclusively by Carl Hansen & Son, with retail prices starting at £3,500.

The delivery is to cerb-side meaning that the delivery will NOT be unpacekd or installed in your home.

Delivery Schedule
We deliver your order for furniture once we have contacted you and arranged a delivery day and time.
Delivery of furniture and large items are carried out in our own vehicle and all items will be securely blanketed and strapped down during transport
For small items that are sent by courier DPD or PARCELFORCE, we will normally send your order to you in 3 business days. International orders are generally received in under 10 days.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
