Step into the golden age of Danish modern design with this rare
First Edition FD134 Boomerang easy chair, designed in 1954 by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard and produced by France & Daverkosen. A true collectors piece, this iconic armchair is a masterclass in mid-century minimalism and craftsmanship.
Crafted from richly patinated vintage teak, the armchair is celebrated for its distinctive "boomerang" shaped seat, elegantly sculpted and angled to create a striking silhouette. The solid teak frame showcases refined joinery and clean lines that reflect the thoughtful simplicity of Danish design.
The model FD134 differs from the matching FD135 Boomerang armchair, which features fin-like armrests, providing the armchair with a mature and developed look. Click

The easy chair features its original loose cushions, upholstered in a deep burnt orange fabric that speaks to the eras bold use of color. The cushions remain in vintage condition, offering a beautiful contrast to the warmth of the aged teak while preserving the authenticity and charm of the original design.
The FD134 was engineered for both lightness and durability, with a floating seat structure that enhances comfort without compromising form. The teak frame sits proudly atop thin brass legs, further exaggerating the light and airy design of the chair. As an early production model by France & Daverkosen, prior to their evolution into the famed Danish manufacturer France & Søn, this chair represents a pivotal moment in mid-century furniture history.
