The Model PH4/3 pendant light was first released in 1966 with design by Poul Henningsen and produced by Louis Poulsen of Denmark.

The pendant's iconic design makes use of Henningsen's 3 shade design, originally developed between 1925/26. The first lights using the system were designed by PH in cooperation with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. Henningsnen worked closely with Louis Poulsen right up until his death in 1967, and remains a true icon of midcentury design, with style that was truly ahead of its time.

The distinctive 3 shade design perfectly diffuses the light of the bulb located in the centre of the shade, and in typical PH fashion the bulb itself cannot be seen from any angle - which creates a lovely soft and ambient light.

This example is in aluminium with an orange powder coated finish, which adds a fantastic midcentury warmth to your home and is telling of the era where bold colour really took charge.

We have 2 matching pendants available, price is PER shade.

A fantastic addition to the modern home, ideal for illuminating your dining table or creating a cosy ambience in your living room.
