Description
An incredibly rare version of Arne Vodder's Triennale series sideboards. Produced by Sibast, 1958 design.
Stunning vintage teak sideboard from Triennale series designed with reversible door that allow you to change the outward appearance.
A unique detail that works to great effect.
Unique to this sideboard are the multi-coloured drawers in the left-most compartment, which strike a visual contrast to the rest of the sideboard.
This sideboard was designed as a stand-alone piece, unlike the version with a locking end cupboard which was meant to have the desk resting on it!
Designed for Sibast and awarded the Gold medal at the 1960 furniture Trienalle in Milan Italy, immdiately making it a classic and today even iconic piece.
The 4 compartmens all have their own function.
the left having the coloured drawers,
the sliding door revealing a pull out shelf which is for easy access to bottles,
the open compartlen having a single shelf. The shelf is movable and simply rests on shelf pegs.
The locking drinks bar with it's curved shelf and back light to enhance the choice of booze.
The drop-front is formica meaning you can pour & mix drinks on it without spillages causing damage. (drink it, don't spill it
Condition. The sideboard has been cleaned and re-finished to the original teak oil finish.
This allows the woods natural beauty and patina to stand out.
