Stylish vintage teak footstool with rocker feet deigned in the 1960s by an unknown Danish Architect.
This elegant footstool features minimalist design, with lovely solid vintage teak construction and original black leather upholstery showing stunning patina.
The rocking footstool is often claimed to be of Finn Juhl design, due to the similarities with the Bwana footstool - however, there is no evidence or makers marks to suggest this stool was designed by Juhl.
A key feature of the footstool is the pair of runners that the stool sits on, allowing for the stool to rock back and forth - this helps to find the perfect position for relaxation - when paired with a chair that rocks too, you are granted further flexibility and range of positions inwhich to relax.
Either side of the stool is framed by gently curved solid teak wings, which pronounce the shape of the stool in an attractive and organic form.
A rare and highly collectable footstool, with refined yet elegant design and high quality craftsmanship.
