Vintage set of 8 original 1st. edition dining chairs made of compressed moulded plastic composite/fiberglass shells in black with chrome legs and an upholstered seat cushion.
Designed in 1955 by Kai Korbing and produced 1956 by I Thorballs / DKI plastics.
These very comfortable chairs were designed with emphasis on being stable during high seas and were used on the Danish cruise ships DFDS Winston Churchill & DFDS Prinsesse Margrethe.
This set of 8 chairs are very comfortable and provide great back support. The seat cushion is fully upholstered so can be used on both sides.
Its cover is zipped so easy to remove for cleaning or if you want to have them re-upholstered in a colour that suits you.
We can offer lots of fabric suggestions and have samples in store for you to choose from.
The chairs are all in good condition with minor marks on the cushions.

To enable us to get a price quote for your specific enquiry please email us with your full address and contact details.
Our shipping partner DSV will then base the cost of shipping + delivery to your home address.
The delivery is to cerb-side meaning that the delivery will NOT be unpacekd or installed in your home.
It is YOUR responsibility to un-pack the items once the crate has been delivered.
Delivery Schedule
We deliver your order for furniture once we have contacted you and arranged a delivery day and time.
Delivery of furniture and large items are carried out in our own vehicle and all items will be securely blanketed and strapped down during transport
For small items that are sent by courier DPD or PARCELFORCE, we will normally send your order to you in 3 business days. International orders are generally received in under 10 days.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
