Lovely coffee table with solid beech frame which is fitted with a mix of stone & ceramic tiles, copper and bronze pieces - Designed by Elisabeth Sallingboe and produced by Sallingboe Keramik 1986
This unusual coffee table is VERY sturdy with the 3 inch thick cylindrical legs required to support the top and it colourful array of tiles and metal pieces.
The abstract design was created by ceramist Elisabeth Sallingboe and produced by Sallingboe Keramik, Jelling.
She made the colourful tiles while the stone was quarried on the small island of Bornholm out in the baltic
The practical aspect of the table is that the ceramic tiles are not effected by hot or wet items so you can serve your friends tea and place the pot straight on top without causing damage.
The cylindrical legs are easy removable and unscrew - making transport easy.
A lovely and unusual table in great condition.
