Stylish and increasingly rare teak framed 3 seat sofa designed by Hans J Wegner model GE270 and produced 1954 by GETAMA
This sofa was not in production for very long and is therefore rarer today!
The design details of this sofa are many but the way in which the back is floated in the frame and secured with unique fittings are among the most impressive.
The teak frame has been restored from a terrible state where it had been left in a cold & damp house causing all the wood to be badly covered in dirt & mould!
Teak is resistant to rot and it was therefore possible to restore the frame to its former glory.
The frame has been refinished and all new pirreli webbing fitted in the seat.
All the cushions are sprung originals where all the wadding and foam has been replaced, retaining the metal sprung core.

The sofa is branded with makers / designer details under the seat frame.
