A stylish and lovely sized antique dome trunk in solid oak made by Danish cabinet maker & joiner in early 1800s.
This practical sized small trunk is ideal for storage around the house where you want something with character and made to last.
The trunk is constructed entirely of solid oak planks which have been joined by visible dove tails and pegs.
The traditional method used in the early 1800s.
Inside the trunk is a small lidded compartment which was intended for storage of candles and other important smalls.
Wrought iron handles fitted to each side make for easy carrying of the trunk. It does require 2 people to carry it as oak is heavy.
A beautiful antique trunk with lots of interesting features and character.
