Vintage beech frame 'Siesta' footstool in original brown leather designed in 1965 by Ingmar Relling.
The Siesta series is amongst designer Ingmar Relling's most coveted designs. The Seiesta series design won the Norweigan design council gold medal award in 1965 for environmentally friendly product, due to using limited raw materials in its construction. The frame is made from a beech ply, allowing for the curved shaped frame, making the chair superbly comfortable when sat in due to its flexibility.
The footstool features a hammock-style fabric base, with a leather upholstered cushion on top. The fabric hammock construction ensures a comfortable footrest as it flexes to ergonomically support your body as you sit. The soft and subtle dark brown leather displays beautiful patina, with some light wear giving the stool tons of vintage character. The cushion can be easily removed for cleaning or for re-upholstery.
A fantastic addition to the modern home, perfect for aiding you kick back and relax after a long day.
