midcentury danish kidney / banana sofa | Danish 1950s
Vintage 1950s 3 seat Danish design banana / kidney shaped sofa with coil sprung seat.
This shapely settee would work brilliantly in a larger bay window.
Curved settees like this work wonderfully at parties as guests are gently turned in towards each other, inviting conversation.
Alternatively, it could be best appreciated in the middle of a room so it could be viewed from all angles.
The medium height of the back and length means that it is ideal to divide a room.
The settee offers excellently roomy and supportive seating, as the seat is sprung, making it very comfortable.
The firm sprung back & arm rests are very supportive, making this sofa perfect for those with posture / back issues as it's seat depth keeps you sitting correctly.
The sofa stands firmly on tapering solid beech legs and the sofa does not dismantle.
Condition: Good with strong frame and webbing.
The fabric is stained and in need of deep clean or re-upholstery, see images.
Tom, our upholsterer, has done several of these before so he can re-upholster this great sofa
in your choice and colour material.
Estimated labour costs for re-upholstery is £750 + fabric costs
