Vintage Erik O. Jørgensen design oak dining chairs made using unique ship's oak and fabric upholstered seats.
A lovely set of sturdy chairs that offer excellent comfort with their wide designed back rest.
The chair seat is upholstered in SAVAK upholstery. The fabric is made by Gabriel and is designed by
Tove Kindt Larsen and is a blenad of 80% New Zealand wool / 20% cotton
The chair frame is solidly constructed using 'ships oak'. which is a unique timber that has small knots visible. These are known as 'Cats paws' as they look similar to a cats paw print.
The oak frames are soap washed finish which is an old finish that uses traditional soap flakes containing palm oil which is absored into the wood, helping to protect and maintain it wihtout addding a surface finish.
This leaves the frames soft and smooth to touch.
Condition: Very good with unique patina on the wood.
The frame is stamped with production date and sticker from FDB.
