Verner Panton lamp | Panthella
Classic Danish design floor lamp with large white acyrlic dome and trumpet floor stand.
Designed for Louis Poulsen in the early 1970s, the space age Panthella floor light is one of the designs which epitomize the 1970s.
The hemispheric shade is made of moulded milky-white opal acrylic, the lamps light source is hidden under this and by the fluted stand and beautifully reflected off of the trumpet-shaped base.
The lamp's switch mirrors the hemispheric shade, being a little hemispheric button popping out of the base.
A one off chance to own a vintage early edition of the Panthella floor light -one of the most popular designs by one of the most influential and remarkable Danish designers of the mid-20th century.
Condition: Very good, there are minor signs of age related wear as you would expect.
The different elements of the light have discoloured but this is without doubt a charming characteristic.
