Vintage Ole Wanscher 1951 design rocking chair with teak frame and upholstered in striped fabric.
This stunning minimalist rocking chair was produced at special request for the London flag ship store that France and Son had on Bond street.
It was 1 of 2 versions made for former Soviet premier Nikita Khruschev. He opted for the high back version and thus this chair was sold to the previous owner who worked close to the Bond street store.
This chair is the only version produced with the thin low back.
The back rest & soft cushion provide excellent lower back support.
The seat cushion is fully upholstered so you can use both sides for even wear.
Condition: Very good with lovely patina and oiled finish which helps to protect, nourish and bring out the woods natural beauty.
Can be completely dismantled for easy shipping / transport.
