Sliding door sideboard | Ib Kofod Larsen design
Rare vintage sideboard with golden oak and teak mixed construction.
This rare vintage sideboard offers stunning detailed design and storage within a cabinet that has many design details, subtle but beautiful.
Designed by Ib Kofod Larsen in 1956 as part of a dining suite created for Slagelse Møbelværk.
The sliding doors glide with ease to reveal internal shelving which is adjustable in the middle and left compartment while the far right has several shallow drawers.
The shallow drawers are intended for storage of cutlery, napkins and glasses as they can be moved into a number of positions depending on their use.
The sideboard is elegantly ligted above the floor by legs where the shape of each leg is tapering but also oval. A gentle detail replicated on the dining table.
Condition. Superb with very minor signs of use externally.
Some ofthe shelves and drawers are marked from spillages.
The legs are removable from the main body as a whole frame.
