Lovely long low rosewood sideboard with 4 panel doors and drawers where the wood grain pattern is continous.
Designed by Ib Kofod Larsen - Produced by Faarup Mobelfabrik - Model FA1966 - Year of design 1964
Source: Design from Denmark 1964, Faarup product sheet.
The most stunning of Danish sideboards with the minimalist appearance of the panel doors and drawers.
The rosewood continues through all the doors and give a striking impression when viewed from a distance as the front appears to be a single continuous surface.
The doors open with recessed handles / finger grips in the top of each door to reveal internal shelving behind 3 while the far left reveals 5 internal drawers.
These are all lined with green felt.
The sideboard legs are as much a design feature as the rosewood as these lip over the front on the cabinet on each end while the long section is gently dipped in the centre.
A sideboard to grace any modern home.
