Finn Juhl spade chairs | France & Daverkosen
Stunning 1950s early armchair with signature spade handle.
These elegant chairs are early production chairs made prior to 1957 when the company was still know as France & Daverkosen.
The chairs teak frame is constructed so that only 2 screws have to be removed for the whole chair to dismantle and pack flat.
This design is acheived by hidden fixtures inside the cross memebers and arms respectively.
The chairs have been restored to remove years of polish and the cushions reduced in thickness.
Previously the cushions had been 5 inch thick, twice the correct thickness.
Recent red wool upholstery in good condition with some fading from sunlight to rear.
All the frame parts have been dismantled and re-glued to ensure a sturdy and sound chair that you can enjoy for many years.
Clearly marked with FD logo on frame.
