Finn Juhl JAPAN chairs | Upholstery project
Vintage Finn Juhl JAPAN chair with teak frame and matching ottomasn / stool. Designed in 1951 for France & Daverkosen.
The design of the teak frame is based on the Torii gates found on Japanese holy sites (such as shrines and temples).
In line with their design, the easy chair has a minimalist teak frame.
The seats are without upholstery as they have been stripped down and re-foamed ready for new upholstery as the chairs were BADLY DIY upholstered.
All the foam is new as is the white fibre layer on top.
Tom, Our upholsterer will be happy to finish the chairs in any material or leather of your choice.
The France & son production disc can be found on the rail underneath the chair and ottoman.
