Bent Karlby pendant light designed for LYFA, 1970 model TRENTA
A metal and plastic mid-twentieth century ceiling pendant light, lacquered in red on the outside and white on the inside.
Designed by Bent Karlby - Produced by LYFA a/s - Model TRENTA - Year of design 1970
The lamp is constructed of 3 unique dish shaped shades layered one on top of the other. These are spaced apart and fixed together with rivets.
Running through the 3 dish shades is a white plastic cylinder which houses the light bulb. When illuminated the plastic bulb house produces a warm glow which is further diffused by the red and white shades.
The varying intensities of light emitted by the pendant creates a wonderfully soft and cosy light. Would look especially great above a dining table.
Condition: Good vintage condition, all parts are original and so there is age related wear but nothing that detracts from the piece.
