Rare folding sofa bed from the late 1950s.
Sharp angled and pointed teak arm rests along with the original grey and black pattern fabric makes this sofa typical for the 1950s.
The seat lifts folding the back rest down and the folds down itself to become the single bed.

This sofa has been fully restored from a badly cat damaged (shredded fabrics) to a perfect example of Hans Wegners classic. See the big image
All the cushions have been refoamed and new upholstert in a two tone. One one side the covers are a dark felt while the other is a soft brown with a small check patter. Both the colours cokplement the light oak frame.
The sofa stands here as an old new sofa good for many years enjoyment. The seat is firm and supportive and with the sprung cushions very comfortable.
The frame is in excellent condition with unique age related patina and soaped finish.

The term box sofa comes from the distinctive Danish sofa where the arms are the same height as the back.
The sofa is very comfortable having cushions that are filled with a mix of foam and feather. This mix can repeatedly be manipulated to keep the cushions in shape.
The sofa is upholstered in thick buffalo leather with a wonderful caramel colour and unique age related patina. The leather is in excellent condition without any marks.

This corner sofa comprises 3 corner modules and 3 seat modules that can be arranged in a number of configurations depending on your room.
The sofa is fully upholstered in the original mustard colour leather which is sewn into retangular patches making up the whole sofa seat, back and arms.
The seat, back and arms are all fixed to the frame so you get no sloppy cushions. The frames are solid beech construction making the sofa very strong.
The leather is in good condition albeit with some drying out on the seat of 2 modules but still with that lovely worn colour and with many years of seating still to be enjoyed.

This elegant sofa is one of the few designs which Wegner decided to use rosewood on and to spectacular effect.
The rosewood frame has been designed to be as much a feature as the sofa itself.
The front and rear legs which hold in place the arm rests have the distinctive rosewood disk in the center making an elegant feature.
This sofa is fully upholstered in elegant beige wool with the seat and back cushions having a circle pattern woven ino it.
All the cushions are fully reversible and have feather filled inner cushions which are in excellent condition. The feathers give you that "sink into" feeling as the air escapes the cushion when you sit down.
The sofa is in very good condition with unique patina and wonderful grain in the rosewood frame.
The frame can be dismantled for delivery up small stairs / shipping.
The arms have been carefully re-foamed as the orginal had collapsed.

The day bed is easy to prepare for guests by sliding out the additional section from underneath. It has small chrme legs wich fold down to support the extended seat.
This makes it a double bed.
The back cushion is sprung to match the seat cushion and both are upholstered albeit no the original upholstery for the back part.
The back board is very useful as it is for storage of your bed linen when used as a sofa.
The Day bed is in good condition with age related patina and signs of wear.
The covers are worn in places, mostly corners but we are able to offer re-upholstery through GETAMA who still make a version of this daybed.
The whole bed frame can be dismanteld for transport and we will reassemble once inside your home.
