The fabric has a slight yellow undertone which was typical of fabrics from this period.

The suite is upholstered in the traditional method using coil springs in the seat and padded with wood shavings and quilted cotton so no foam and will always hold the shape.
The chairs are his and hers and are slightly different in the frames with hers being more sloped arms where his has straight arms.
The suite is very comfortable and offers excellent seating in a period frame dating from 1900 - 1910.
The suite is upholstered in tradtional dark red fabric with a leaf pattern and this is in excellent condition with only minor sunlight fading but no damage or worn areas.
