1890s hand painted chest of drawers

Old hand painted chest of drawers dating from 1890 - 1900.
The drawers have been painted with a wood grain effect to immitate the more expensive woods like burr walnut and mahogany. This was done entirely by hand using brushes and to great effect.
The chest offers excellent storage in the 4 drawers. The top drawer is shallow with the 2 centre drawers being the same size and the bottom drawer the deepest.
All the drawers can be locked unsing the same key. The key holes are decorated with a delicate keyhole plate.
Dark varnished corner pillars give the chest a unique look.
The drawers are in good condition thorught out showing unique signs of age.
We have treated the entire chest with woodworm killer as a precaution. Modern central heating kills of woodworm too as they like it damp and cold.
