The light was originally blue but as they get older they tend to turn more purple.
The light is designed to let the light flow out but without the bulb being visible.
The pendant is in fair condition with a few minor scratches and uneven top ring.

Elegant 3 arm ceiling light with cream glass shades.
This light consists of 3 brass arms each fitted with a thin aluminum reflector with a perforated edge and finished in red. This contrasts really well to the very pale white glass shades.
The light mounts to the ceiling rose with a small loop and hook and hangs down 14½ inch / 37cm.
In excellent condition with minimal signs of wear / age.

ARTICHOKE LAMP BY POUL HENNINGSEN

Poul Henningsen designed the Artichoke lamp for Louis Poulsen in 1957 to be part of the Langelinie Pavillion, Copenhagen.
PH Artichoke is a glare-free suspended lamp consisting of 72 leaves that hide the bulb but let all the light radiate.
Its design shields the light source, redirects and reflects the light onto the underlying leaves, resulting in a unique style of lighting.
It is in excellent condition and truly a distinctive piece of design.
Copper finish.
Measures: 60cm in diameter and 48 cm in height.
NB weighs 22kg / 44 pounds so needs a heavy duty fixture!
This ligth dates from eary 1960's and came from a School in Denmark which originally has 6 but afer 3 "disapeared" the decided to sell of the remaining 3.
The light is rated for investment as 4/5
