Hans Wegner cigar chair | teak arms
Hans Wegner Cigar chair with contrasting teak arms and oiled oak frame and original sprung cushions.
Lovely light arm chair with the original sprung cushions upholstered in original pale grey wool upholstery.
The upholstery is SAVAK from Gabriel, Denmark
Designed by Tove Kindt-Larsen and made of 80% wools of New Zealand / 20% cotton
The chair has the lovely oak frame with rich teak arms. The use of 2 woods is common on Hans Wegner's designs from the 1950s and works to great effect.
The chair gets it's name from the distinctly CIGAR shaped armrests.
The original cushions retain the foam covered sprung metal inners, and allow you to use both sides of the cushions.
Condition: Impressive with lovely patina. Cushions with minor signs of use.
Frame clearly marked with makers and designers names.
