Danish student desk in teak and light oak. Double A4 drawers
Midcentury Danish design compact teak student desk with light oak contrasting legs and drawer cupboard. Dates late 1960s.
This compact desk still offers good worksurface and lots of storage as the cabinet contains 5 drawers which are all double A4 size. A central divider seperates the drawers into 2 compartments. It is removable to make 1 single deep drawers.
Above the cabinet is a shallow pen drawer with glass to lay your contacts or telephone list under.
Makers mark is for Brdr Boisens Mobelfabrik.
The beauty of this desk is that the door is tambour and slides underneath the cabinet so you have access to all the drawers at the same time. It simply locks via a spring loaded lock and this is in excellent working order.
The open space to sit under is also spacious and measures 26 inch / 66cm from the floor to the base of the top.
Condition: Excellent with lovely patina and minor signs of use commensurate with age.
The top has been restored and has lovely soft oiled finish.
The desk can dismantle completely for delivery / transport.
